This move reinforces the company\u2019s long-term commitment to sustainability and the energy transition within the ceramics industry.<\/p>\n\n<p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Developed in partnership with Goldenergy, a Portuguese supplier of 100% green electricity and natural gas, this initiative supports the growth of biomethane in Portugal. It is expected to prevent around<strong> 30 tonnes of CO\u2082<\/strong> emissions by the end of 2025.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><p><b>What is biomethane and why it matters<\/b><\/p><\/h3>\n\n<p>The energy transition is one of the greatest challenges facing industry in the decades ahead. Reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency and adopting renewable sources are no longer optional, they are essential to protect the planet and maintain competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n<p>Biomethane is a renewable gas produced from the treatment and recovery of organic waste such as municipal and agricultural residues. Once purified, it has the same properties as natural gas and can be used safely and efficiently in industrial processes.
